Ball Of Fire
by Ian Curtress
Warm comfort of
the daylight hours slowly accepts defeat
Becomes the realm of shade
Shadow in depth seeks intensity, finding
every glade
The everlasting ball of fire fails to
ever last
and fights an honest battle as in eons
past
Defiant remaining embers glow and to
horizon cling
All goes quiet in sorrow, birds cease to
sing
Experience we have endured, time beyond
our count
Thoughts on this and Nature always
paramount
In spite of regularity of this ball of
fire which sets our lives aflame
Were daylight hours used wisely ? Should
it never rise again. |
